A question of viewpoint, 2019
crystal ball, electric motor, grainy female portrait, lettering, LEDs, glassware
The female portrait is moved back and forth. Varying patterns appear due to the lens effect of the crystal ball. This effect is only detectable from a specific position of the viewer. From above one can decipher the lettering: a question of viewpoint.
The work was part of a conceptual setup of students and alumni of the Art&Science Department at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, who were presenting their works on the occasion of the panel "Digital Transformations - Society and Arts at the Turning Point" at the Biennale Arte 2019.
